Happy Canada Day! Our group set off for Astorga around 8 a.m. There were a few clouds in the sky, which made it a little more comfortable for walking; however, it was still incredibly warm.

It never seems to be dull on the Camino - you always seem to come across an interesting person, animal, landmark, cafe, etc. and today seemed to be no different! The comraderie and friendly banter shared among our group can make even the longest hike bearable! It is so amazing how everyone gets on with each other on the Camino; regardless of nationality, age, background, etc.

Astorga is a lovely town - very picturesque and friendly,
