Heidi and Alex at the restaurant for tapas!
Sevilla is BEAUTIFUL! It was so clean and warm and there are palm trees everywhere which makes you feel like you are in some tropical city. Alex and I met our best friend, Heidi, who is studying there. The first morning we spent down by the river basking in the sun and then decided to take the Sevilla bikes down to these gardens. The bikes ended up being more of a pain than it actually saved us time yet we always seemed to want to use them. We had a picnic in the gardens and saw this palace and then it was nap time, yet again. We we woke up we went and got tapas, which is a traditional Spanish appetizer but they order a bunch and usually that is the dinner. We later met up with some of Heidi's friends who go to Madison and then went to Heidi's favorite bar and got mojitos and then went home and to bed. The next day we grabbed a muffin and a Starbucks and got on the bus to go to the beach. It was really windy but we moved around until we found a spot that wasn't too bad. It was

so nice to be on a beach and hear the waves even if it was a bit chilly. We got back to Sevilla and ate amazing pizza from this pizza place next to Heidi's apartment. That night Heidi wanted us to go out with her and her friends so we got ready and then decided to take the bikes, yet again. This time it was worst because I was wearing heels and riding a bicycle. Spaniards were hollering things at me in Spanish that Heidi later told me was about my heels. I felt soo stupid. So we biked all the way across town and were about to return the bikes when we realized that all the bike posts were full so we had to bike around to find another spot to return them. It was horrible. We had a good night though and I loved Heidi's friends. The next day we went to this castle where roalty use to stay. It was beautiful. The gardens were phenomenal. We then went to this huge castle and climbed to the top. When I walked out from the stairs the first person I saw was this guy who I know from Madison.

He is studying in Germany this semester so it was so crazy to see him in Sevilla. After the castle we went and got really good gelato and decided we were exhausted so we went to see No Country for Old Men (I think that was the name of it) in English. It was nice watching a movie in a theatre in English for the first time since I had left. It was a really good movie and after we went and got chinese food that ended up being terrible, but Chinese food nontheless. The next morning Alex and I left to go back home. We knew we were going to see Heidi next weekend though. I can't wait!
