Hola Everyone!!

So, these pictures are from a long time ago. I am really sorry that i have taken so long to put them up. They are from Sevilla which is the capital of Andalucia and the biggest city in Andalucia. Sevilla and Malaga are the 2 biggest cities and they are always competing with each other about which city is better. Sevilla is a beautiful city, but it is not on the ocean at all. It is about a 3 hour bus ride from Malaga. We went there over a weekend, so we had 2 whole days to see the city. We got there and we had a toiur around the royal palace of Sevilla. The royal families in Spain in years past had a palace there because it is such a beautiful city. There is a legend that one of the kings used to sneek out of the palace at night and seduce the ladies of the town and kill any men who got in his way. But, he always had his face hidden so no one knew who was killing all of these people. Finally, one of the king's government officials said that they needed to find

out who was killing the people and get rid of that person. So, the king said that it was a good idea. So, for awhile the official searched and tried to find out who was behind the murders, and he finally realized that it was the king. He finally got up the courage to confront the king about it and the king told him that he had done a good job, but unfortunately that HE was the king so there is really nothing that the official could do about it. This story is where the nickname Don Juan comes from because that king was such a ladies man and was always out flirting with all the ladies. I thought that was a interesting story when they told us that on our tour. After the palace, we walked through the city and saw lots of old buildings and many buildings that belong to the royal family and their relatives. Then we had a tour of the cathedral. The Cathedral of Sevilla is the 3rd largest cathedral in the world. It was amazing. Christopher Columbus and his son are both burried there, as well as a pope. The tower of the cathedral

Prettiness....

is HUGE and we got to climb to the top of and look out over the city. The tower is very interesting because there are no stairs - it is all ramps all the way up. The king who was in charge when they were building the cathedral did not want to have to walk all the way up, he wanted to be able to ride his donkey up to the top, so they had to make it all ramps all the way so that the donkey could walk up there. After we toured the cathedral some of us stayed and went to mass there. It was really pretty. The next day we went to this park that is in Sevilla. It was huge and amazingly pretty. There were so many flowers and trees and stuff. Then we went to the Plaza de Espana, where part of Star Wars was filmed. It was so cool to see. It was really big and there was a huge water fountain in front of it. Sevilla was so much fun and it was one of the prettiest cities that I have ever seen in my life! It was so cool! I hope that
