Today’s planned exercise is a ten kilometre or so bus ride up into the mountains to the village of Frigiliana. It is again ridiculously hot. It’s a long hike to the bus stop and probably feels more so due to the temperature. The bus struggles its way up the steep road to the village square. It’s very cute - whitewashed buildings clinging to the hillside, interconnected by a maze of steep narrow alleyways. The east side of the village hangs precariously over the edge of the Higuerón River gorge … and good to note that if I miss the bus I can hike 14 kilometres down the gorge back to Nerja.
