I know when to hold my hands up and admit I was wrong....and today is the day. I did need to pack that jumper and my waterproof would have come in handy too. We arrived in Lake Bled to be told by the very helpful taxi driver that until yesterday they had had the best weather all year. Luckily for us then that we experienced some of their worst weather! It has rained every day for most of the day. Ok we landed another 4 star hotel (we should have been in the self catering apartments but they upgraded us!) but the weather is anything but 4 star. The scenery is breath taking but throughout the day you lose sight of the mountains because the rain clouds descend! But enough moaning what have we done in Bled - we have travelled to the island in the middle of the lake, rung the Lucky bell (it obviously needs ringing alot if we are to get lucky with the weather) walked lots, Chris went Summer Tobogganning (sorry about the spelling) which consisted of hurtling himself down a very steep hill on a piece of plastic attached to a small piece of track! He was very quiet - he says he had to concentrate I feel he was a little bit scared. The hotel "Hotel Golf" has a swimming pool complex so we have made use of that rather than getting wet outside we decided to do so inside. Hoping to move on tomorrow but finding Croatia more difficult to book accommodation in.
And Rat, we saw a dead relative of yours in the river in Ljubljana!
