Day fifteen 2023. Perfecy

day 15, 2023, Monday, perfect day. A lazy morning in the apartment have us time to watch the football and take in the fabulous weather. Seth and I took a short walk to the shop to get a few supplies, mostly chicken crisps, the mother of all crisps and only available here. We were very restrained, only getting seven packets this time (more to come though) A quick lunch and we made our way back out into the glorious sunshine, Seth and Ash for a swim, me for a sit. After a there and back stroll we settled on a spot. Ash and Seth swam with the ducks and the fish, I listened to all the various nationalities , read my book and took in the fabulous wonderful perfect view. Once they got our, it was clear that Seth needed some time in the sun to warm up, so I got us all a quick ice cream (and more chicken crisps) and we sat together, marvelling at the lack of wasps and just
.....being.
After a quick trip back to get changed, we got ourselves into one of the rowing boats that make their way across to the island.
Having never been before, it seemed about time. It was a gentle ride (we just sat with three dogs and twice other people, no actual tiring involved, twenty or so minutes and we were faced with....steps .. So so so many steps. Had I known there were this many I might have made my excuses! But up we went. The view, weather and well, everything was just.... Perfect. We walked down and around and sat on the steps waiting for our ride home. Seeing a bat in broad daylight perhaps the most unexpected bit but impressive none the less. Even Seth just said 'this is all just too beautiful ' as we sat and took it all in. We were rowed back, bright sunshine and a gentle breeze around us. Not wanting the day to end, we stopped at a bar for a drink, this time the wasps did come to play. After tea at the flat, Seth and me headed back to the lake to see the fish and the ducks and to video call grandma and grandad and give them a live tour. Sadly the ducks had already gone to bed for the night but the fish put on a good show! After Seth was in bed, we sat on the balcony watching the stars come out, the meteor shower putting on its best show and the bats feasting on the midges above the stream. Today was one of those days that was just..... Perfect
