Eastern Romaina is a lot like South Aus, infact we felt like we had hammered the crusier along a lot of dodgy tracks to go nowhere. Gypsies as it turns out are not so scary but are infact an different cultural group, darker skinned and don't live in caravans as we imagined but live in trucks with bee hive rear bodies. They seem to follow the crops and particularly the sunflower crops, which is obviously a win-win. Honey for sale everywhere on the roadside and very healthy crops our farmers would be pretty happy with. On our approach to Lochel (small town in the mid north for those not familiar with South Aus) I asked Darren to pull over so I could take a photo. Whilst I am taking the photo Darren the real horticulturalist gets a closer look at the weeds growing throughout the sunflower crop.
