Today was a free day in Warsaw before the tour officially began. Susan and I planned to explore the old town and visit Warsaw Castle. While the tour would later make a stop there, ti would not go inside the castle as we planned to do. Castle Inn. Set in a sixteenth century townhouse in Old Town (Stare Miasto). The original tenant house house was built before 1478. Rebuilt in the second half of the 16th century and given the name Mansjonaria. Adaptive reuse as a hotel in 1991. Świętojańska 2. Part of Historic Centre of Warsaw. Poland holds a lot of history and I wish we had gone sooner. We hope to get there soon.... even with all the issues going on.

A friend of ours is going to Poland this week. She will be visiting Warsaw and Lublin (which we did not visit) principally to do research for a book she is writing. We've encouraged her to also visit Krakow, probably the most beautiful city in Poland.
