Stella.Stella.Stella.

Proud of her new soccer outfit.
Here we are in Bergen with Chris, Hege, Lilly and Stella. We made a hasty decision a couple of weeks back that we would like to help Stella celebrate her 6th birthday. We have never been there for her birthday, while we have been at most of Lilly's, so we decided that it was about time we were there. So after the long trip via LA to London, we spent a night in a hotel at Heathrow to have a decent sleep and a rest which was very benefical. The next day we arrived at Bergen airport were Chris picked us up and took us home were we sneaked to the front door and rang the bell. Stella and Lilly came to the door and stood, dumfounded and stared at us for a few seconds before suddenly realising that, yes it was us and we were there in person, with a few ballons in hand, and wishing Stella a Happy Birthday. Their reaction was amazing and the greeting we got was wonderful. Well worth the long journey so we are so pleased that we made the decision to come. We have had a wonderful time celebrating the birthday in many different

ways, with many differant meals and parties. It is just so special to be here. The weather is still as cold as it was over Christmas but we have been busy with celebrations, soccer tournament, catching up with Hege's family and one of my favourite things, walking with the kids to school and kindy. We will be here for the next couple of weeks so will be trying to get a few trips to various places in. Getting in a bit of walking which is good and we did enjoy Lilly's soccer tournament, the first time we have been able to watch her. Very proud of her as she obviously enjoys it so much and plays well, scoring 3 goals. I love kids sport, it's so good to watch. Bergen is looking great even if it is sometimes a little wet, but with no leaf's on the trees, we are seeing a completely different view and landscape from what we normally see during the summer. Unfortunately we are just a little early for Bergens famous Rhododendrons to be out but as I walk I can see that they are just about to burst forth. We will see what the next couple of weeks bring, then we are off to England for a little while. Pip/Rod
