Edit Blog Post
After a nice sleep in I showered, washed my hair, then rushed to the breakfast before it was going to finish at 10am. Only got there with 5 mins to spare so had to act fast to grab a plate of food, a juice and coffee. All good - once I had that I didn't have to rush!
Today was going to be all about catching up on my blog and other things I need to sort out (bills, phones, banking - all the usual stuff!).
I was busy writing my blog and when they came to clean my room, I took a break and went for a walk. I visited the Tourist Centre and after chatting to a girl there, decided to book a tour for tomorrow night. It is a tour on a RIB boat and it will start at 10pm and go for 3 hours - I want to fully experience the midnight sun whilst also seeing as much as I can around the Tromsø area. I'm excited about this!
I had a coffee and half a roll and this is when I started to discover just how expensive Norway is - it cost me
$22. I walked around the town for a while, getting my bearings. I found a shopping centre and was able to get a couple of items I was running low on. Eventually made my way back to the hotel to continue my work on my blog (I was trying to put it off I feel!)
After writing about one day for an hour, I went to hit save and realsied my iPad was connected to the internet!! I lost the whole day (Epernay). I seriously nearly cried, I was so frustrated! It would have been so bad if I didn't have another 5 days to do after this one! Oh well, suck it up princess...... I rewrote the whole day, checking I was connected along the way and saving all the time. It does auto save but now I was paranoid.
After many more hours and realising it was getting late (not by looking outside but by looking at my watch) I headed out to find somewhere for dinner at 8:30. I had seen a recommendation for a Vietnamese restaurant and having withdrawal symptoms for Asian food, I headed there (Savi). I walked in and asked for a
table for 1 and the waitress said "oh, a fellow countryman". I looked at her as she had some sort of accent and I thought, oh she has mistaken me for English or something but no, turns out she is an Aussie! It was so good to chat to her and it made ordering my dinner so much easier.
I ordered the beef pho and a glass of rosé. The pho was delicious and just what I needed! The meal cost almost $50 though but what can you do!
After dinner I went for a walk before settling back into my room and continuing on with my blog. Typed away until 1am whilst not having a clue about the time! Check out photo I took at 1am before finally closing my blinds and going to bed.
