Ohrid Lake
Ohrid town and lake The bus got into Skopje at 545am. I had to change bus and the bus to Ohrid left just pass 6am.
Got into Ohrid at 945am. At the bus station an elderly gentleman asked me if I was looking for accommodation and I said yes. He was riding a bicycle so we walked to his house which was a 10 minute walk from the bus station. He said he can give me a room with an attached bathroom for Euros 15 per night and a room without an attached toilet for Euro 15 a night. Vesna from Belgrade told me I should check-out Apartment Kosta as it is in the city centre and near the lake.
I told him I will check apartment Kosta and come back, he tried to do a better deal by saying that he can give the room with the attached toilet for Euro 10 per night if I am staying for more than 2 days. I said I will be back. Then he said why don’t you leave your luggage here and check out Kosta and come back. He tried very hard I must say.
I went to Kosta and Mr. Kosta was

View from Church S. John Theologian at Kaneo really nice and it was a minute walk from the lake. The city centre itself is a 20 minute walk from the bus station.
Kosta gave me a good deal at Euro 10 per night with an attached toilet if I was staying more than a day which I clearly was.
I left my stuff took a shower and decided to walk about the place. There was no tourist information office. While walking I came across this art gallery and there was a sign saying tourist information. I went in and asked if they had a map of city. The lady in the gallery told me they do and that it costs 100 Denars. I told her that I did not have any Macedonian money however I will give her 500 Serbian Dinars which is the equivalent of 400 of Macedonian money and told her to keep the Serbian money and that I will come back and give her MKD 100 later on and that I did not want to waste my time looking for an ATM machine. She was nice, chilled out and saw the humorous side of it and agreed, after all why would someone not

Ohrid town residential areas... come back to collect his 500 when it actually costs only 100.
I walked all over the place visiting churches and taking pictures of the lake from different angles. It is such a beautiful lake I could have kept clicking for hours and hours. I think I did too.
After I had walked all over I went to the main street and got some money out. I went back to the art gallery paid the correct amount in Macedonian money and got the Serbian money back. Had a chat with Beti the lady at the gallery and I went to a nearby café by the lake and read more of “Founts of Sinhala” and chilled out. People were looking at me in a strange manner one thing because I looked different due to my colour and also I was all alone and while the café was packed with people. I had the famous thick hot chocolate.
Later in the evening, I went to a nearby restaurant and had pizza. The lady at the pizza restaurant was looking at me very intensely and she was quite beautiful probably wondering from which planet I was from. Next I see

Ancient theatre at Ohrid her husband. After the meal I went back to the café that I went in the afternoon, took some pictures of the lake with a long shutter to capture the lake view by night. Had another hot chocolate and went back to the hotel. I bought some peanuts and read more of the book and slept.
