Rügen II Wanderer Yes, again Rügen, again a dream land. This time – with more wide chronological swing. And just as an annex, appendix, reminder. All fine traced, especially in the romantic wishful branch of leaves with the almost Art Nouveau motifs and winding. Wanderer As already written (in the Post The Swan of Tuonela) such symbolic signs have been made and seen much, much earlier, in ancient times (presumable Later Neolithyc) as stone forgings, carvings, drawings (petroglyphs). A number of them occurr in a beautiful shore of the nordic lake. It’s itself again a sign of Nordic Nature. Finnish it is called Ääninen / Äänisjärvi, Karelian Oniegu / Oniegu-järve, Veps Anin / Änižjärv, but Russian Onega / Onego, Onežskoe Ozero (Lake Onega / Onego, Onezhskoe lake, nowadays that lake belongs to Russia). Wanderer Pace, pace, pace – Amneris sings at the end of the opera Aida. It’s a peace from all the passions, fights, contradictions in her soul and in this opera’s story. It’s a peace full of tragedy, but nevertheless it is a solution. Pace, pace, pace … Just peace is peculiar for lakes – in the highest limit between all waters in the free nature. Yet it is an absolutely different kind of peace – self-confident, self-respecting, higher and stronger than even time is. In immemorial ancient times, legends and tales tell lakes had flown through the air and only then, when someone called them right they fell down and stayed there. Wanderer Fish oil – Horror of my childhood. It was around 1950 – 1952, we lived modestly, sometimes having trouble even with bread. Really this was because of serious flooding – a little town Jēkabpils (Germ. Jakobstadt) was cut off from the outside world, but ended in flour. At that time every morning to all of us three children after breakfast before going to school was to drink fish oil, a whole tablespoon. Disgusting! We did even realize that it is necessary for us, and my mother’s supervision (as it was in case of Tom Sawyer and Aunt Polly) was not required. Wanderer I’ve never driven through such a rushing waters and boats like these were not known in my time. The more interesting for me to look, as it is now. And see also what and how our travellers have found and fixed. Both ourselves and especially all around themselves: nature, animals, not so often – other people.
