What is it? It is a painting by Madara Gulbis Sarkanās klintis / Red Cliffs (2004). It is not known exactly which cliffs have given impetus to the artwork, because there are several or even many of the sandstone cliffs with that name in Latvia. Let’s see how does in reality looks for example Red Cliff on Salaca River bank near the small provincial town Ainaži in the very North of Latvia (Called also Pietrags or Mačperu rocks).
How can get there? The easiest – by boat. Though about the boating another time. But now – there is a wonderfull landscape on the beach of the sea, Sarkanās klintis Vidzemes Jūrmalā / Red Cliffs on the beach in Vidzeme (region in the North-Ost of Latvia).
See also a very nice large picture gallery of the same www.adventures.lv/?p=1086. Watch them, enjoy them, admire them. Do not climb at them, do not scrap them, do not write Your name there. I hope Yoy will not. I know You will not.
