What is the current political structure/government in this country/region? Who has power, and how do those in power interact with their people?

In the year 1946, Italy changed their government from a Monarchy, that was ruled by a king, to a government that is lead by a president. The president was elected for a 7 year term. What is different about this government is that Italy does not have a vice president. Italy's Prime Minister decides the national policy and he is the most important person. Italy's chamber of deputies has 630 members that are all elected upon.

I learned that in Italy their government is pretty fair. Everything is voted upon, so it is probably a very peaceful place. The people in power allow for the country to be structured and controlled. I believe that Italy most likely has many citizens who appreciate their leaders. I believe this because the leaders are not in control of everything that happens in Italy. Everything seems to be fair.
