I met up with Judy again to head off to Italy. We had three weeks together, travelling from the south to the north. Our first stop was Pompeii. Once evening we came around the corner to see the piazza flooding. Due to high tides and rain the previous evening, the water rises through the manholes.

This was the best installation of the whole Biennale... a tunnel formed of magnetic tape that did surreal things to your vision as it trembled as you walked through it. Very, very beautiful, set up in an old church.

Some kind of performance art... six days a week, seven hours a day for six months. That is dedication
