DAY THREE in PALERMO

Concluding our first short stay, I had to see the Ballaro Market, dating from Roman and Moorish times. Rick Stein (UK celebrity chef) did a tv tour there. I did a quick dash round for pictures.

Busy daily market, in the L'Albergheria, one of five Norman neighborhoods

Started in the Norman period (1185) but not completed until 1805, with the addition of the dome.
