Venice was a really nice city. very busy. the thing im finding with italy, is i love the country, but dislike the nature of it all, and demeanor of the population (without being rude, but thats the way it is) hectic, rude, and busy. push push shove shove. i loved st marks cathedral, and the canals. a gondola ride was in order too with a couple bottles of wine. also went to the peggy gugenheim museum, due to the academia museum being mysteriously closed.

The Bridge of Sighs

So named as it was the bridge where prisoners were marched across towards their prison cells. Prisoners would look over the beauty of Venice and sigh, as it was the last sights they would see before imprisonment and execution.

On the way to Venice we stopped in Verona, renowned home of Romeo and Juliet. This is the colloseum there, much less grand than its big brother.

yeah, well many have said St Peters is known for its pigeon-ness. they werent kidding. this place is INFESTED with gutter birds. all bird food for sale is laced with contraceptives to stop their population getting worse. people are always covered in these shit birds here, and you often have to duck to avoid them colliding with you!
