food markets
after a good nights sleep we had some breakfast and headed out to see the outdoor markets which is mostly leather goods and the food markets in a building beside the open air markets we bought some leather bags but not from the markets from a shop nearby. we had some coffee and Tiramisu for morning tea. then we picked up my jacket that was being altered and got a taxi to the airport to get our car.

THE CAR is nice Audi a3 6 speed but every thing is on the wrong side not just the blinker, the gear stick as well, I keep grabbing the door handle to change gears and to top it off as we were driving cautiously from the hire place Esther was testing the controls and put the hand brake on, fortunately none behind us and we were going slow. then I keep forgetting to take it out of gear when there is a need to stop suddenly which happens often and the engine stops to save fuel, panic takes hold and I fumble for the key only to realise it starts again by itself.

I am starting to get used to it

leather markets
now and I havn't had an accident yet. the GPS told us to go down a one way street (honest it wasn't my fault ) and we ended up having to drive over a footpath to get back on the right road Phew .....

well we got out of Florence onto some nice country roads and breathed a sigh of relief, we drove about 30 mins along beautiful countryside of Tuscany and found a few vantage points along the way to stop and admire the view, it's amazing, we found a nice winery on top of a hill and stopped and had lunch about 130 and then continued on to Greve in Chianti a beautiful town in the heart of Tuscany

then we continued to Panzano a smaller town but no less beautiful and I had a Gelati we walked around for a while and then decided to head back as we have to park the car by 6 pm

the trip back was less eventful but just as beautiful I must be getting used to driving left handed.
