I figured I would give you guys a little glimpse into our daily life...what is it like to live out of a backpack and move around so much you ask? Voila!

We usually wake up around 9 AM. Sometimes earlier if we have to catch a train. If it is our last night wherever we are, we tend to pack the night before so as not to wake our roommates in the morning. Then we either check out and hop on our train, or we go sightseeing.

We havent been staying out very late because traveling around so much is pretty tolling on our bodies and we get tired a bit earlier than usual. We stay up till about midnight or so, but take it easy in the evenings.

Meals vary. Breakfast is usually included in the price of the room, and most places offer rolls, sliced meats, cheeses, jam, honey, butter, tea, coffee, and juice. A couple places had panini makers which we loved. We eat as much as we can for breakfast because its free, but its rarely anything special or yummy.

For lunch, if our hostel has a kitchen, we tend to cook a lot of pasta. Its cheap and easy to make and fills us up for awhile. If we have to go out, we usually get pizza it seems. Its pretty cheap and tastes good.

For dinner, if we are on a strict budget that day, we will cook more pasta. Sometimes we will throw in some ground beef or chicken if we are feeling fancy. Haha. Sometimes we will go out, in which case we like grabbing lasagna or spaghetti carbonara. Pizza will suffice for dinner too, if we are going super cheap.

Id say we are averaging about 4 to 5 bottles of wine a week. Its inexpensive and delicious. In Rome we bought limoncello which is nowhere near as sweet in taste as it smells but we choked it down, heh.

We are trying to limit ourselves to one nice meal in each city...but by nice, we mean 10 euros or under. We have been doing decently at this, but even still, groceries are expensive and we can easily go over budget.

As for sight seeing, we dont do too many museums. We both rather just walking around the city and seeing daily life, more than paintings and things. I have taken thousands of pictures, and we love going on little day excursions like the underwater lake we went to in Vienna or Neushwanstein Castle, which are a bit out of the way but we get to see less touristy areas. We do hit museums though that house famous things, such as the Vatican and the Academia that had David.

We try to meet people in our hostels, but have found some very unsociable places lately. Still, the people we have met come from all over. We have met people from as close by as Coronado and Irvine, and have met people from Nova Scotia, Brazil, Russia, England, etcetc. Its nice when there are good roommates to talk to, and we can get a sense of who wants to be left alone and who is down for hanging out.

All in all, its been a great trip so far. We feel as though it is coming to an end, only because we passed the halfway mark awhile ago, and now there is less than a month. But we still have 4 more countries to tackle, so we arent too sad yet. Plus we are starting to miss little things from home like Saritas, haha, and our families and friends, so it will be nice to be back when that time comes.

Love you guys!!
