We have been told that while all roads lead to Rome, finding your way through the maze once you get there can be a bit troublesome…

They were right! The biggest problem is not the traffic, as we are getting used to that by now. The real issue is the one way roads and the insanely massive interchanges with their twists and ramps going every which way that get the better of you. We managed to find our accommodation fairly easily but being early, we thought we would just see a bit of the surrounds. Big mistake! A hectic 45 minutes later after many stops to figure out where we were and which roads we were allowed to go along in which direction, we arrived back at the house, breathing somewhat heavily, and decided to try the doorbell to see if it was ready. Thankfully it was and we moved in.

It is quite a nice apartment which is a converted basement, with 2 bedrooms and a good size kitchen and living room. There are also nice garden areas on the property and a little cubby house for Em to play in.

It is fairly well located with a bus route and shop just down the road and a couple of restaurants within walking distance too. We’ll explore a bit more tomorrow… but not by car!
