what a great day it was today. got up so early. we had to be on the bus at 7am, so breakfast at 6.30. needless to say, no party for me last night - trying to get over my cold. anyway, got the train in to rome, because our tour buses aren't allowed to drive in rome. very interesting experience on the train - so packed!! i'ver never been claustrophobic but i was this morning. once i got off it was fine though. we had to change trains twice - i'm so glad our tour manager was with us coz i would've had absolutely no idea where i was going!! one of the guys in our group caught a young girl trying to pick his pockets - she didn't get anything though. i locked my backpack for the rest of the day didn't i!! anyway, we got off at the collossium, but i didn't go in coz i was feeling shocking after the trains; then went to the tomb of the unknown soldier - very nice; then down to st peter's in vatican city! that was amazing. there were lot sof people, but not unmanagable, and there was a feeling in the air - so hard to describe - but it was like people were kind of expecting something. which they are - a new pope!! we went down to the catacombe and saw his tomb. had to wait for about 45 mins which was fine but then only was down there for about 5 minutes!! very quick turn over. that's ok though - they've got to do what they've got to do. the sistine chapel was closed coz all the cardinals are in there deciding who the new pope's going to be. i'm typing on an italian keyboard and it's so frustrating. everything's in the wrong spot. after st peter's just wandered around for a bit - did some people watching. i downloaded some photos but i can't put them on the blog coz the computer's not working properly! yesterday we had a tour around florence - very nice. then came to rome - had a night tour. saw the trevi fountain last night - i did the coin toss thing. 3 coins for 1 - return to rome, 2 - fall in love, 3 - wish to come true!! aw shucks how sweet. better go - time's up. love you all. thanks for your text the other day kel

My oh my, cannot believe that my little sis is travelling around the world. Sounds like you are having an amazing time. It's great to hear how everything is going, however sitting here at work it makes me very very jelous and wish I was doing the same. Take care chicken, speak with you soon.
