ok, leaving off from rome sightseeing. it was one of the guy's birthday so we had a fun night at the bar at the campsite. we stay in cabins most of the time. so far it's been between 2 and 5 people. some have bathrooms, otherwise it's a communal toilet block. oh by the way, italy doesn't use toilet seats!! just the cold porcelain bowl - very uncomfortable but oh well. anyway, greg's birthday was good. he turned 19 and was not too well the next day but he definitely had fun the night before!! i wasn't going to stay long - onlq til they played a bad song, but they never did. left rome and went to venice. i'm in love with that city. it's gorgeous - so romantic. we went in at about 3ish and wandered around - people watching again. we had pizza by the grand canal. so yummy. some of the group went on the optional gondola ride (for 20 euros). we sat waiting for them to go past but they never did. we had a lace demonstration ang a glass blowing demonstration. very interesting and very good presenters. in st marks's square - the main area, the restaurants are very expensive and they had these little platforms set up for quintets to entertain the diners during the meal. while we were waiting for everyone to come back, we sat and watched them for ages. they were so talented. got the ferry back to the campstie and had an interesting night at the bar. it was supposed to be the best bar of the tour but it wasn't. i think everyone was tired, but didn't want to be. it was still fun though - but quite early. i'm all better and over my cold now - yay!! back on the bus today. 3 countries in 1 day! we left italy, ,went to austria. another gorgeous place. the day was so nice today. blue sky, warm and snow still on the mountains. mum - how do i get grass stains out? we were doing cartwheels and gymnastics on the grass outside the swarovski museum. now here i am in munich. we have 1 hour here, then go to our hotel, then back into the city for dinner at a traditional beerhall. pity i don't like beer hey! tomorrow of to the rhine valley. some of you have wondered about the boy potential factor. sorry to disappoint but there's absolutely nothing worthy of me here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ha ha ha!! they're all lovely, but not for me. sorry, no goss. love you all xxoo
