sorry it has taken me so long to post, i have been super busy and there hasnt been as much free time to find an internet cafe to goof off in. i will probably start writing more now that the girls are gone.

i think i last wrote we we got back from Merrakech (sp). We then moved on to Sevilla, which is hot. They are true followers of the siesta. Nice walking tour there. Fantastic food. We then moved on to Barcelona. Great city. We ate glorious seafood, anna went to the beach, and oh yeah, we were involved in the rioting after the world cup. one of the best experiences of the trip so far. due to some issues, we were unable to go to the south of france and the cinque terra. that upset the girls some, but seeing as i am still here, i am going back that way tomorrow. We took a night train to Milan. Great stuff, cheap wine, smelly roommates. We worked our way over to Bologna and Florence where we stayed at this lovely country in known as a holiday inn express. the scenery was beautiful and i slept on the floor. good thing im awesome and an eagle scout. Saw the David and all other necessary items in that area. We then took one of those fast trains down to rome. Rome's metro is not the best in the world, but it sort of works. We did all the big ticket items like the coloseum, pantheon, capital hill, st peters, cistine chapel, etc. We ate one of the better meals of the trip in this little neighborhood last night. great atmosphere. i'll keep you updated as i work through northern italy again and move on to austria. Ciao america

Sounds great!
Kyle, It sounds like such a neat trip. I'm sure your brothers are jealous (and sister-in-law)!!!! Don't forget to watch for pickpockets in the Roma underground! Gary Aman (Alison's dad) almost lost his wallet in there. A nice Roman lady saw what was happening and caused a ruckus with the pickpocket guy that Gary didn't lose it. From then on whenever we got on the metro, we all put our wallets in front pockets and held on to them! Italian Gypsies once tried to get into my fanny pack and I got my backpack picked in Moscow. It's a cruel world!!!! Can't wait to see your pics of Milan, we've never been there--or Bologna! Keep having fun! Kaye
