I finally got a chance to go to Rome after being there 11years ago, it was great!

A monument to honor Victor Emmanuel, the first king of Italy. It was inaugurated in 1911 and completed in 1935

It was erected to commemorate Constantine I's victory over Maxentius at the Battle of Milvian Bridge on October 28, 312.

Capable of seating 50,000 spectators, the Colosseum was used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles. As well as the gladiatorial games, other public spectacles were held there, such as mock sea battles, animal hunts, executions, re-enactments of famous battles, and dramas based on Classical mythology.

The Hypogeum is visible today, this was under the ground, It consisted of a two-level subterranean network of tunnels and cages beneath the arena where gladiators and animals were held before contests began
