Wasnt running at this stage but you get the gist
Only about 20 people on the bus this time. The scenery was different again, right next to the coast, green hills with grapes an olive trees, very tranquil i thought. At a camping ground again but good accomodation, staying with 2 guys (one Brissy that worked at the southbank cinemas). Had a meal outside our cabin with Jane (NZ) an Jess.

Started early in the morning for our Rome walking tour. Started at the Spansh steps an walked along to Trevi Fountain. They were cleaning it so little dissapointing at first. Went to a few Piazzas an past a shopping street just for popes an nuns, windows all full of gowns. Went to the Pantheon. All these famous things are just tucked away around blocks so quite weird to turn around a corner. A lot of things are being restored so kind of ruins the shot. Getting over the streets is hard here, they dont stop unless your in a massive group, even on the crossings, very manic. The colloseum an the Roman Ruins have to be the most impressive man made sight yet. Its like an archelogical sight in the middle of the city. We finished out tour right

Im in Rome now
at the base. Me an Jess went into it, such a massive space, no seats or floor left. We watched Gladiator coming into Romeso was good to have that fresh in m memories. Walking through all the Roman ruins was fun, a lot of tourists though. Went back to Trevi Fountain which was going. Made my wishes an will be going back to Rome.

Today 6 of us went an did the Vatican City. Only lined up about 20min so was good. The museum wsa amazing, everytime you walked into a room your mouth opened. 100s of statues an room after room of intricate wall an roof paintings. By the time you ended at the Sistine Chapel your neck was getting saw. Just the most beauitiful angel scene on the wall in there. >Crazy to think how they did it. Walked around walls to St Peters an sw where the Pope does his speeches on the balcony. The church is massive compared to any that ive been in. In there they had a line of names of popes since St Pete in 62AD.

I think i saw most of the important things of Rome, 1 more day would have been good.
