Couldnt resist
As i predicted, it just got better. Caught the bus off to Pisa an had about an 1hr to look around there. Its pretty much just the leaning tower and the duomo to see. On the way to Cinque Terre you could see the mountains where they take alll the marble to make the monuments in Northern Italy. Tops of mountains all quaried out. Made my way from La Spezia to Riomaggiora, the 1st of the 5 little towns on the coast where im staying right on the main drag. Such a great day so thought i might get the main hike on the coast linking all the 5 towns. I herd its better to start at the other end and it was definatly the right thing to do. Took the train to Monterosso, then did the toughest leg of the journey 1st. THe path is really narrow an deadly steep, pretty much was sweating off the water i was drinking. Views were stunning though, worth getting to the top for. From town to town the walk got easier. All of them right on the water, Vernazza and Manarola were the most scenic, set on cliffs. Everyone was out sunbathing

First town of walk
on the concrete with steps down to the sea. Very ruff water, all along were pounding into the rocks. Stopped for some real lemonade slushy at Corniglia, freshly squeezed. Had some wine an Ravioli at a little bar, just underneath my place an then headed down to the water. Picked up an icecream an watched the sun set over the furthest cliff I could see. The waves were really coming in, right over the marina wall.

PS - am not going to miss 'Chao Bella' they should use that term everywhere.
