Monterosso on a hot day
Yesterday was another hot one. Got the train 2 Monterosso an perched myself on the beach jam packed with Italians an tourists alike. The water was so refreshing when you wernt sweating from the sun, not as ruff as the other day. Trained back an had a siesta, why not, all the shops close. Decided to have my last italian dinner. Stopped off at my cliff side spot. Its like Utopia, nothing but thoughts, hot sun an crashing waves. Had a great Penne de Punta (tomatoes an basil) at this little place by the sea. A few of us got some bianco vino an sat next to the water. It was a religious holiday today, so a few fireworks went off an a band wandered through the main street. Little lanterns with tea lights lined the street and all locals had lights dripping from there windows. This place just enforces my love at 1st sight feeling for Tuscany.

Today made it back to La Spezia to get the bus to Nice. All the trip was pretty much on the French Riviera. Went past Monaco an caught glimpses of massive boats cruising the coast. Turned the cliff corner where Grace Kelly died in her car an went past the church where Bono was married. Tommorrow, Nice a St Tropez
