Pointing out our abode. Fully secured with 3 coded entrances.
Oh, what a difference an evening makes.

After the traumas of the day all was forgotten last evening as Lecce (and Italy) comes alive in the evening. People just come out of the stonework from 8pm. We are in the most magnificent location, exactly between the old and new town. We strolled the old town, settled on a place for a pre-dinner drink and then sought out a restaurant for a tasty Italian dinner. We had no regrets with our choices, restaurant or food.

Today we decided to not drive anywhere. It was walk, explore and appreciate, “Florence-of-the-south”, Lecce. We took in nearly every street of the old town, photographing doors, windows, people, streets, buildings, paths, door knockers, plants, sites of interest, churches, archways, the old town ‘gates’ (entry points), walls, entrances and more. We stopped and marvelled at the artistry of times gone by, of the buildings too. We conversed with fellow tourists and locals too. We laughed loudly and fooled around. We drank coffee and alcohol too (Jane). We loved the gentle breeze that kept us cool and hugged the shadows of the buildings for the same affect. We read the map correctly and incorrectly but didn’t

care in the least. We were having a ‘damn-good-time’.
