Penguin Float
This is the float my cousin Brandon was on. Happy St. Patrick's Day Everyone!!!!
Hope everyone had a good one. Mine was a lot of fun but the weather was not very good at all. We got pretty drunk on Friday night watching the Hills Have Eyes. I don't recommend it, it was a little too disturbing for me. I really think there were some scenes in it that could of been left out. My cousin Leanne ended up leaving the room for some of it cause she couldn't handle it. Then we woke up late Saturday morning and got ready for the St.Patrick's Day parade. We started drinking at the house before the parade and then ran outside to the main street to see the parade go by. It was pretty good for such a small town. The parade went from one end of the town to the other and then turned around and came back. The person with the best float won some money, so that's a pretty good deal. We didn't know our cousin Brandon was going to be in the parade until this penguin float went by and someone on it yelled, 'We hate Canadians!'. We were how they knew we were from Canada
until we saw Brandon's shoes. My cousin Micheal is the Chief of the Fire Department so he was driving a fire truck and they had a pretty good float behnid them. They actually came in second place, so that was good. In between the time we saw the parade pass by us and turn around again we went back to the house to finish our drinks. One of the costumes was a big hunchback guy and his head fell off as he was walking and it was rolling on the street. The lady beside him was trying to get it back on and it wasn't working very well. It was a pretty good parade and there were lots of people there. Apparently there's usually a lot more people there however the weather was really bad. It was raining and then really high winds. The waves in the ocean were crazy.
Everyone came over to Micheal's and we got ready to go out on the town. We were having a few drinks and had some Chinese food for dinner. The first pub we went to was the Kickin Donkey, shich was karoke night again. I didn't have to sing, thank
goodness. It was pretty packed and had some terrible singers. I was amazed on such a small town and so many pubs that they all managed to be full. everyone decided to leave and Leanne and I weren't finished our drinks so Leanne said just put it up your sleeve as we walk out and drink it on your way up the street!!!! That's what I did and when we got to the Oyster I gave the glass to the waiteress and told her it was compliments of the Kickin Donkey. We stayed there for awhile and listened to some live music. I kept going next store to the Chasin Bull cause part of the family was there and the other part at the Oyster. Then Leanne and I decided to go to Jumpin Jack's the 23 and older club. Dana got in with us and Paige said she'd come down after however she ended up not getting in. Jumpin Jack's I really liked the best out of all the night clubs there. I think it was because of the age limit. At all the other night clubs its 18 and I swear a lot of those kids aren't even
18 yet. At Jumpin Jack is where we got into the Sambuca. i honestly did not need anymore to drink because before we even left the house I had had a bottle of vodka and then 8 other drinks before we got to the club. So needless to say I don't really remember much about Jumpin Jack's. The only thing I remember is leaving and falling up the stairs and landed on my arm so bad that it hurt and still hurts. Dana lifted me up and thought that I landed on my face! I'm really surprised she didn't fall lifting me up cause she was just as drunk as me. When we got back to the house it was full of people and it was almost 5am. I can honestly say that I've lots another friend!!! Captain Morgan is a bad bad man and Sambuca and I are no longer friends, we need some time off. But don't worry I'll be back on that train for the wedding in September!!!
I woke up the next morning with the worst hang over EVER. I thought my going away hang over was bad this was even worse and lasted a
lot longer. We were leaving that day to go back to Dublin so we could catch our plane back to Glasgow. The bus ride that we had to take was four hours and I was dreading it. I couldn't even get out of bed at 3pm and the bus was coming at 6pm. I made it though, and without puking. We arrived in dublin at the bus station and hoped right onto the next bus to the airport. We didn't really know how long the buses went for so we decided to just go straight to the airport. We went and found a table that we knew we could sit at for ten hours. Our flight didn't actually leave until 8am the next morning and checkin time wasn't until 6am so we had a lot of time to spare. It was amazing how many people did the same thing we did. Sleep in the airport. Along the sides of the walk ways were packed with people lying on the floor sleeping. At one point I decided to put 6 chairs together and sleep on them. I guess some other people saw it and thought it looked like a good idea
and did the same thing. A lady came around and woke everyone up cause the restaurant was opening and the guy beside me wouldn't wake up. So the lady just started pulling the chairs from underneather him. I couldn't believe it. It wasn't very nice. I don't recommend sleeping in the airport if you don't have too. It really sucks and its pretty boring after 10 hours. Just after we checked our bags in it started snowing pretty hard adn some flights were getting cancelled. Thankgoodness ours didn't cause I really didn't know how much longer I could stay there. We were all pretty bagged. Our flight went well and the 4omin train ride was hell since we had run out of energy but we are now at my aunt and uncles in Glasgow and trying to catch up on sleep.
Hope you enjoy the photos and thanks for all the emails I've been getting from everyone.
Miss you and Love you all
