First Day in Ireland!

Today has been a long, but exciting day. We landed in Dublin a little before 8am. We got off and i got my first stamp in my passport. We made reservations at the Camden Deluxe Hotel and took a bus into the town. We sat on the top deck of the double decker bus -- that was so cool! We dropped our backpacks off at the hotel and went walking. We saw St. Patrick's Cathedral and walked through the park. The old buildings are cool to look at. We walked around looking for food, but since it was Sunday, not much was open. We walked to the Guiness Brewery. That place was huge -- it was seven floors. It was a self-guided tour, so we walked around and got educated on beer 😊 THey had a part where you could smell the ingredients, and i really liked the roasted barley. mmm. Eventually we made it up to the top to the Zero Gravity Bar where we got our free pint of beer. The view was really awesome, and the beer was tasty - but i couldn't finish it. Afterwards we walked around looking for food again and we found the Wicked Chef Cafe and both got fish & chips! It was fantastic.
We found our way back to the hotel and took nice refreshing showers and snuggled in for a nap. We set the alarm for an hour but slept for a few more ^_^ Got up and purchased a phone card to call home. I couldn't believe how clear the connection was. My parents didn't feel like they were a continent away. We picked up drinks and a snack (I got the tastiest croissant!) and have been hanging out in our room since. I can't wait to get some good sleep tonight (my left side is all sore already).
But i'm here. I'm really here. It still doesn't feel quite real, but so far i'm having a great time. And even though right now 3 weeks seems like a long time, I know it's going to zoom by.
