I am officially now allowed to reside in Ireland. It even says so on a cool stamp on my passport!! Well technically two since one says till March and now the new one says till september. I got my fingerprints and picture taken (which made me realize my hair is getting frecking long! its like a half inch past my collar bone- yikes it hasnt been this long since high school) and everything and even have an official card that I have to travel with 😊 Ya I'm cool (haha not really) I took some pics for you guys so you could see the other side of the city. I think I even got a pic of city hall 😊 And despite my total tourist vibe, I got asked for directions (and new where to send them) haha I dont know why im so thrilled with that, but I am!!
But after doing that it hit me really hard: I am here! I am actually doing it! I am living abroad and will be for a few more months. I actually started thinking oh wow I actually have to come home and it was a weird thought because I am
always so about what I am doing or where I am, ALWAYS. I never really consider anything outside my realm, I mean I do know there is a world outside of the one im living, but not in the running of my own life and my thought processes. It was strange and just amazing to realize that for almost half of a year of my life I get to live in Europe. And not just europe but Ireland!!!!!!!!!!!!! not many people even get to visit here and I actually am blessed enough to live here. I was in awe for most the day and wanted to say a big thanks to my family who helped me get here. I wish you were all here with me!!
After that which literally only took me 30 min including the walk over there, I went to the library again. I didn't see my friends from yesterday 😞 but I did get a card and am now able to check out books. I checked out 3 today :D I was so happy.
But bad news bears: against my hard fought will and I thought unbreachable mind power, I got the corky-bug (corky
is how you say cork in irish- I learned yesterday). I really believe it is more from the cigarette smoke that is constantly blown in my face rather than from cold weather. But thats besides the point, so I am sniveling and sneezing all over the place and im kinda hazzy and have been all day and a little of yesterday. Its pretty bad but not TERRIBLE like it normally is when I get sick; I think thats just because Ive been taking airborne, my vitamins and literally repeating over and over in my mind that I will not get sick, oh and I went to the gym today to try to expel it from my body. My aversion comes with that fact that when I normally get sick it pretty much knocks me out for 5 days. Thank God its not like that this time!
Well I need to get my reading done and then get to bed. I love you all!! and would love to hear from you and know you are doing?? Have a great wednesday! hopefully the rain (which I unbeknownstly apparently send you) is treating you well!!!
