After getting off the plane at 6:15 am in Iceland, we started our trip by going to the Blue Lagoon spa. The water there is naturally light blue from the silica, and they have mud (in buckets) you can put on. Even though it was freezing outside, the water was hot, heated naturally by geothermal energy. From the Blue Lagoon, we headed to Reykjavik and then to Hafnarfjordur, about half an hour away from downtown Reykjavik, to drop our stuff off at our Airbnb location. We spent the afternoon walking around Hafnarfjordur and then decided to go to a couchsurfing meet up in Reykjavik.
