our amazing hotel - boscolo luxury residence
Not so early this am we boarded our plane to London to get to Budapest. Thankfully we only had a 1 hour gap between flights rather than the 4 we had to copenhagen! Loaded up on some yummy bagels and smoothies, checked in with the family and then hopped on our plane to Budapest. We had no idea what to expect and hadnt done like any research into what there was to do but we'll sort it when we get there! We were basically just excited about some actual sun and warmth which we hadnt felt in a long time!! Just under 2 hours and we had landed and spent a while trying to figure out the currency and how much we should draw out! Taking a stab in the dark we ordered a shuttle as the public transport option to our hotel proved much to complex for my head! Relatively quick trip into the city and we got dropped off at our luxurious hotel!!

Boscolo Luxury Residence! And luxury it was. They had upgraded us to a grande suite and we had a whole apartment to ourselves! We spent a few mins catching flys in our mouths as we

wandered round! not like our usual hostel stays! We then entered the bathroom and looked at each other with confusion as we tried to work out what the low extra basin was! Then I realised it was a bidet so turned the water on and it came out at, to say the least, a rapid speed and soaked me!!

After settling the bidet hysterics down we changed and headed out in the warmth in search of somewhere for dinner where we could sit outside and enjoy a bit of Vit D before the sun went down. We found a lil restaurant with a stunning view of scaffolding covering an ugly building and sat outside with a bottle of hungarian red wine (which I am learning with bens expertise to appreciate more and mayyyybe even slightly enjoy)! Had a really good hungarian meal while trying to google hungarian helpful phrases and learning that "my hovercraft is full of eels" was in the top 5 phrases google advised us to learn!! We decided that was prob not necessary to learn and if the situation arised we would pull out Mr Google for the occasion! Our food was good but drowned in

butter as we found is normal for hungarian meals - tasted a treat though! We had a great night hanging out in the warmth with t-shirts on, drinking wine and starting to relax! Really looking forward to a great weekend away!
