Delphi is dominated by the huge sheer faces of Mount Parnassos. On its lower slopes is situated the Sanctuary of Appollo which between the 6
th Century BC and the 2
nd Century AD the Ancient Greeks and then the Romans considered to be the centre of the earth. It attracted multitudes of pilgrims who came to consult the oracle. We spent most of the day wandering around the ruins and visiting the adjacent museum.
