After sadly saying farewell to Jenny, we drove to the nearest station and took the Metro into central Athens to visit the National Archaeological Museum. We particularly wanted to go there because it contains treasures from some of the sites we had visited previously. What particularly impressed us in the beautiful displays were some of the statues and sculptures in the vast collection, gold jewellery and cups from the grave circles at Mycenae and frescoes from Akrotiri in Santorini.
In the late afternoon we drove the 180k to Apollon Camping at Delphi.
