My parents are not totally big on religion, well not as big as society "pressures" them to be. However, my dad is desperately trying to change that. I do not know if it is because of that pretty lady in the choir he wants to impress, the "blessing" that took him from behind those steel bars, or maybe both. Whatever the reason, I am glad he found something that will lead him in the right path. However, me on the other hand, is fine with the religion Atheism because at this state in life, I really just do not know, and that is perfectly fine!

Atheism is said to have come into existence in the 16th or the 17th century in Greece, Europe. Atheism was created to demonstrate the lesson of true compassion, kindness, and consideration. Some say that when an atheist performs an act of charity, helps someone in need, and cares for the world and its citizens, he is not doing so much because of some religious teaching nor so he can receive recognition. He does not believe that god commanded him to perform this act. In fact, he does not believe in God at all, so his acts stem from an inner sense of morality, inner peace, hospitality, and harmony. This influences others to also follow. Now, with this religion being so well invested with, others see that as an opportunity to also become a committed follower. Though some look in nature to help them find their moral code, I know mines. My moral code follows about 6 main rules. 1.) Life is only provided one time. Make the most of it. 2.)One has no power to take from others. 3.) After death, one can no longer do the things that they wished they would have or be the person that they wish they could have been. 3.) Unless one's rights are being impinged, one has no authority to ridicule or belittle another one's. 4.) Always try to do good even if evil is hiding within you because through religion, one's true colors will be discovered. 5.) When one's spirit is low or high, good or evil, those concepts will evolve. 6.)Our “purpose” should be quad-fold:

• Contribute, in some way, even if it is only a little, to the evolution of the human mind.
• Remember that we are not the last generation to inhabit the earth.
• Remember that we are not the only species to inhabit the earth.
• Those who work hard will be rewarded. Just be patient!

When it comes down to devotional and ritual observances, Atheism has none. They do not have prayers, devotions, holidays, observances. Also it does not refer to any superhuman agencies besides the realism of god(s).
