Day at Beach turned into Boat trip

Hot day here. I walked to the beach and decided to take the boat ferry to Piraeus. A better choice than trying to hike up that huge hill, and it was going to be too hot to lay around. I was told it was five euros for the boat ferry. I had time to go buy a hat for some protection from the rays. Finally covid restrictions have eased. I'm taking six weeks to bop around Europe in May and June 2022. Past -I have a year to travel starting this summer of 2008. I will start in the United Kingdom, then cross to Ireland. Then I plan to go to Poland and Ukraine. Depending upon the political climate, I may venture into Turkey. Last night's supper

I broke down and ate at one of the touristy restaurants near my hotel. Small portions, ok flavours, good wine and bread, all expensive. Best place to eat is at my hotel just up the road. It has better prices, larger portions, tastier choices.

Waiter Ally

Bit irritating walking the street from my hotel to the beach because these guys are constantly calling out to all people walking buy, entreating them to come in for a meal. 'Beautiful Lady', 'Fish of the Day', 'You come in' are words you have to ignore, with a smile.

First thing in the morning

Recognize this cat from earlier posts? He was yelling on my deck, so I opened the shutters and offered him remains of a sandwich and a glass of water. Skinny due to weather, all the cats seem healthy and fed. He only wanted a sip of water. Most are owned by local business owners. The cat at this hotel is Kierra.
