Paris and poo

Hello everyone,

So we have been here a week today, the first few days were pretty horrible if im honest as Davy was hating it and we didnt have anywhere else to go so was not a nice feeling and for first time i truly felt homeless. Things are alot better now, i guess sometimes u just take a few days to adjust and fit into a families routine and know what is expected of u and what u expect from them, work is everyday and we dont have a finishing time as such, sometimes i will be feeding babies at 8pm and i have to b up and dressed by 7 every morning to make everyone breakfast, but we do get free time, its just scattered throughout the day, rather than working all morning and then having afternoons off which is what we are used too, sometimes we work 2 hours in the morning and then have 2hours off and then work again. Outside work is mainly scooping horse poo and cleaning stables or cleaning out the chickens stable and thats probably about 4 hours a day but then helping with babies doesnt really count in our daily working hours, they just expect help with them when they need it.

We have booked a train to Paris on march 13th and its an overnight train so it covers our accomadation for that night too, it takes 10hours and we get on at 10pm and only cost 100 euros for both of us so cant really complain, thats our next big move and before that we have 2 nights in munich with Col.

We have now been working 11 days without a break and i worked out that by the time we leave here we would have done 24 days with no days off!! thats pretty mad! and no lay ins! we planned to have about 5 days between leaving here and starting our placement in france and so far have 3 nights covered, 2 at hostel and 1 on the overnight train, if the budget can stretch to it we will book 2 nights somewhere in Paris for when we get there.

After France its home time, but we will be spending about 6 weeks there! we have emailed a hotel that wants people to stay a month and we get to live there and eat all meals in the restaurant, we are making sure we know exactally what the days and working hours are before we agree to anything but it looks promising. starting to really think about what happens when we get home with little money and nowhere to live! we really wanna go italy in the summer aswell and do some helpx around there but only for about 3 weeks and after that i think the travel bug should be out of our systems and we can go back to working 9-5 and paying bills and can actually find a nice home and settle down and make it our own instead of moving every 18months which i have been doing since i was 18.

I would literally pay for a bath, one bath this year i have had! and about a billion showers!! and working on a farm means u have constantly got dirty nails, u smell and u have straw and hay in your hair no matter how many times u wash it! 7 weeks tomorrow of farm life! i wanna feel girly, i wanna lay in a bath for hours with candles and a face mask! i want a manicure and i want to wear a pretty dress and heels!! not wellies, joggers and 'working gloves' not dungarees! I would do anything for a night at a spa! my god that would be the most amazing thing ever! someone please pay for us lol! when i get home im finding my suitcase of dresses and wearing them constantly! when i get a job and money my pay cheque is going on make up and beauty products! im not a farm girl, i have enjoyed aspects of it, i have seen amazing places and met wonderful people by working on farms but i seriously wanna smell like Sarah and not shit. Im not even materialistic normally, i go to work and get covered in paint, snot, food and god knows what and i get the bus home without a care in the world! but at least then i come home and run my bath and cover myself in various creams and oils and blow dry my hair and put on clean pjs and feel happy! here i have a shower and can still smell cows and horses! my coco butter body cream has run out and they dont have it in shops here, my herbal essences shampoo run out and i have one which doesnt smell of anything! i have 2pairs of pjs an dont feel clean in any and i dont even have a hair dryer on me! and i cant have a bath because they use too much water
