Went to Oma Imgard's (Papa's mom) last night for a game night with the cousins. She invited us all over. Lotta, Maike, and Jan were also there. It was a pretty fun night. Had pizza (always a good thing =] ) We played "Ligretto" first. It's a very fast card game. Each player recieves a deck of cards with a different color on the back. They lay four cards in front of them face up and thirty of their cards in a deck face down with the top card turned over. They then flip over three cards over from the pile in their hand. Only the top of one can be used to play. The cards have the numbers 1-10 and are different colors (red, yellow, green, and blue). Cards are then layed in the middle in piles. 1s start and then the pile goes in numerical order to 10. The cards have to be played on the same color. The first person to have gotten rid of their pile of 30 cards wins the round. Points are then calculated depending on how many cards a person has left in their deck and how many they played. It's a really really

fun game. But was a little too hectic for everyone, so we didn't play it very long.

After that we played "Activity" . This one we were divided into teams. A player from one of the teams draws a card. On the card is a list of different words. The player has to choose one and either describe the word, draw it, or do sharades, depending on where they are on the board, to get their teammates to guess the word within the time limit. That was quite enjoyable. We had some really good laughs. Especially when I made a language mistake. I grabbed a card and was reading the words pretty quickly and decided to describe the word "Baumaengel" which means a defect in construction. Noway did I know that word, but I read it thinking it was the words "Baum" (tree) and "Engel"(angel, almost pronounced the same as "aengel", hence the mix up) instead of "Bau" (construction) and "Maengel" (deficiencies, failings). After I got my group to guess the word someone asked to see the card and then started busting up laughing. I had no idea why until they explained to me. =) It was definetely worth a good laugh. After that we wound down with a good game of Taboo. That too was a lot of fun. But I do have to say I will never again play against Jan and Lotta. They kicked our butts. hehe... Was a fun night. Now I guess it's back to the studying and hw. Oh fun... hope you're all doing well.. take care. Ciao
