We’re in Germany!
08:30 hrs : Shelley and I have landed in Germany! We’re now waiting for Kristine to arrive from Vancouver. She should be here with us in about an hour.

We loved our flight with Lufthansa! I’ve never flown ‘Premium Economy’ and I have to say that we enjoyed it very much. The seats are roomier, lots of leg room, the seats go back further and even have a footstool and pedestal so that you can have your feet up off the floor. We had a pillow and blanket waiting for us on our seats and a bottle of water too! Not only that, oh no….there was a neat little bag of goodies too! A black drawstring bag with a toothbrush/toothpaste, eye mask, black socks, a towelette, and ear plugs….

We have about two hours to wait before they start loading our flight to Oslo!

It’s probably safe to include here that before we left Ottawa, I made up a little batch of hjortetak to enjoy on the flight. Farmor always sent me off on my flights from BC back to Mom and Dad with a Edwards coffee tin filled with hjortetak. I loved cracking the rubber lid on

those tins when the coffee was served on board and those around me got a whiff of these wonderful delights. I have a small bag for my sister when she gets here so she can enjoy a couple on her flight to Norway.

It was neat seeing the monitor reveal our location while we were flying. Here, we were just leaving Great Britain.

Snap doesn’t do the sight justice. The wing and engines were quite impressive on this aircraft.
