or, ice cream. notice the winter coats. doesn't matter. germans are gluttons for the frozen treat. mostly gelato, but darn good.

got candy?
no fear. these bon-bons are actually chock full of vitamins. purchased at...the "fussball" play-offs. you call this stadium food, deutschers? i love it.

don't try this at home
i didn't even make a good assistant (i'm scared of fire, but tried)...to my friend, Mimi...fire dancer extraordinaire. got a talent? just show up. pick a place. police don't seem to mind.

ain't no village at halloween
germans do love to have a good time. notice, however, despite open drinks and loud music...no parade barriers to be squeezed up against, no police deterring participation. anyone could jump into any act and dance along...love it.

this is where it happened...
where i discovered my dancing feet! left met right. and hips awoke. was first of many arty hangouts and dance studios i frequented...always made to feel welcome.

bipedals, move over
dogs rule the city. you may think this a special dogpark allotted to canines in the park. WRONG. Berlin itself is one giant dogpark. pooches got the right of way. watch out.

hemp you
i love, just love, that "bio" or organic...is the norm here. hungry? edible clothes are never far...

mermaid parade?
not so much. i exposed myself to some old-school entertainment just to re-activate my animal ethics. each pop tent circus was its own cultural experience i have to say. the most successful troupes come from switzerland, in case you're thinking of running away...

we've got spirit, ja we do
we've got spirit, how about you? Berliners still maintain two real live mascot "Berliner Bears" in a quiet city courtyard...i was pleased with my find of pride. by then, i was oozing Berlin.
