Susse - Kernlose - Trauben
Sadley,there is McDonalds behind this stand.(by JK) We have spent our evenings at Oktoberfest so during the day we spent our time taking in the sites and sounds of Munich. The town of Munich is very beautiful and full of great things to look at, listen too, eat drink and be merry! We are lucky to get a clear but cloudy day. We took advantage of the time without any rain to see what we could of Munich's main city center, in and around the Marienplatz.
The area has incredible buildings some architechture is clean and simple and some ornate and very gothic, and very cool. The famouse show of the glockenspiel (Giant koo koo clock in the Nues Rathaus) however was a disapointment and hope the show we saw was only due to the major constuction that seemed to be going on.
We made our lunch stop at the famous Hofbrauhaus. We went to the Hofbrauhaus in Las Vegas to geer up for this trip and had to see for our selves how they compare. The verdict is, they have the same look decor wise, but different enough to say you should try both locations as we enjoyed both locations with two totally differently
GREAT experiences.
Another major site in the Frankenkirch (church) that stands tall with two beautifull towers. We are ready to attempt going to the top- This one has an elevator after a few flight of steps. We will cover this church in next entry.
There is so much to see in city center and even with hundreds of pictures, we barely scraped the surface of what this amazing area had to offer.
