back in Freiburg
right outside the Haupt Bahnhof One of the fun things about living in Germany is that you are able to just walk down the street, buy a train ticket, and visit many fun cities. I got to see a couple of old friends and make some new ones this weekend.
In 1997, I stayed with my friend Torsten who now lives in Freiburg and works as a Psychiatrist.
Little bits and pieces came back to me as I took in the sights of Freiburg; heard the sounds of the market, smelled the new wine, and tasted the Black Forest cake.
I had great Sicilian wine at a place called Casanova, took it with me, and boarded the bus to Europa park.
I saw my friend Marc from Natick who is now a musician in Germany and runs a Halloween Horror Nights Show.
It's a lot of fun and the make up on the "creatures" are fantastic! It was pretty surreal to be in a foreign country with someone from your own home town- just a little bit out of context it seemed.
I made friends with these guys from Frankfurt who were running the camera. Lucky for me, I got to ride back with them as
Muenster Tower
I climbed this in 1997. I hope to get in shape so I can climb it again! I had spent enough over the weekend!
