Steve and I on our way to Monaco
Today we were taken from our camping ground on the French Riviera to Nice (said Niece) to spend the day. Steve and I wandered the shops for a while (the most exciting things we bought were tissues – to be used as toilet paper, baby wipes – for cleaning our hands and a bottle of water) then had some lunch. I am really enjoying trying many different types of food (I don't tend to try anything tooooo outrageous but not what I would normally pick!).
Afterwards we went to the beach... absolutely stunning! Blue sky, clear blue water. Steve went for a swim and I lay on the stones (this was a stone beach not a sand beach) and bathed in the sun... I managed to not get burnt at all (1 to me, 0 to the sun!).
We were picked up at 3pm so we could go and get ready to go out to Monaco. Everyone dressed up, I wore my new dress and all the boys were looking spiffy. In Monaco we saw where Prince What's His Name and Grace Kelly recently got married (the one where she was crying and miserable at their wedding ceremony) then walked up

to where the royal family live which had an amazing view of Monaco.
We were all very excited because we were taken to the Grand Casino (Where James Bond went). We found out that the residents of Montecarlo are not allowed to go to the casinos. Wow it was so amazing... the cars were pretty damn fancy and the people would just pull up and get out then their cars would get parked for them! We were all let loose for 2 hours but you had to pay 10 Euro each to get in and being Dutch and Scottish like we are we refused to pay that. We found another casino and decided to go in. We made a deal that we would only spend 2 Euro so Steve sat down and lost it! I then decided that that was HIS 2 Euro and I was going to spend MY 2 Euro... First time ever and I won big time!!! We went in with 10 Euro and left with 30 Euro and 80 cents... I won $40NZD! LOL I was so excited (and it turns out that I (along with 2 others) won the most money). We got back to
