After our last day in Paris, we took a night train down to Nice (pronounced "Neese"). Nice is a little tourist trap of a town in southern France, right along the coast. Their main attraction of course is the beach, which we spent some time at. It was warm enough to sit on the sand and enjoy the sunshine, but not exactly swimsuit weather. Though it seems not everyone thought so. Unfortunately for us, we witnessed some local culture when we accidently walked by a group of middle aged women practicing the local custom of sunbathing without the hinderence of any clothing on the top half.
Our hostel in Nice was very nice, considering the dodgy part of town both it and the train station are situated in. It was just a block or two off the main shopping strip, and yes, I did a little bit of shopping 😊
