World Equestrian Games week is over and did not end as well as we would hope. Jock did a fabulous dressage test and was sitting in 3rd position going into cross country. Unfortunately, it wasn't his day on cross country but watch out Burghley - he's coming to get his title back! I loved France. After I got over the shock of wondering why a child was in the drivers seat of the car I got used to the Rt hand driving and ended up doing quite a bit of driving. Normandie is such a beautiful area. Back home in the States the day after Christmas means business as usual. In fact, it's one of the busiest days in the retail season. Oh contraire in Europe. On almost all of our Christmas forays into Europe December 26th is also a holiday be it St. Stephen's Day, Feast of the Holy Family, the first day of Kwanzaa, Synaxis of the Theotokos, or Boxing Day. And that means most businesses, museums and historic sites are closed.
