Wednesday night we went up the effiel tower and it was so exciting! It is even more beautiful than any picture ever taken. The view was breathtaking of course, and our resident supervisors showed us all the sights from atop the tower! Paris is huge and just goes on and on and on! They were selling glasses of champagne on top to drink but they were 10 € and that is like 20 bucks so we decided we didnt really nead that.
Thursday was fun I met for my painting class by the louvre and we walked around part of it from the outside. The louve is ridiculously large and my friend Jena and i now call it our house (because someone actually lived there at one point, well a lot of people). we are inviting everyone over for an amazing game of hide and seek and capture the flag! painting was a little frustrating, i chose a difficult street corner with two beautiful french buildings. i restarted my painting and finally got the perspective right, but will have to paint fast monday and tuesday. so many people stopped to look over my shoulder or even try to talk to me.
i had no idea what they were saying and it was distracting so i will bring my ipod the next time!
a large group of us decided to go out thursday night and it was so fun! we drank lots of wine in the dorms before leaving for a hole in the wall pub. (literally there was a hole in the wall that you had to walk through to get to where we sat!) we were down by st michel and jena and i visited our favorite crepe place. jena's boyfriend was working so we took pictures with him and he made us crepes when we headed back to the metro that night. he says we are the most beautiful girls in paris...yeah yeah we started talking to some french guys on the metro on our way back and totally entertained them. i asked if they thought americans were crazy and they all laughed and said yes for sure. oh well atleast we smile unlike the french!haha
today was a long day. my architecture class walked along the siene river (sp?) from notre dame to the louvre. we saw a movie being filmed on the river and it took us
a night out in paris
my friend jena and i walking home from a local bar! forever to get to the louvre. we saw the roman sculpture area with venus and then after we were dismissed we stopped by to see the lady mona lisa. it was unreal to be there, it still hasnt phased me. we will be returning to the louvre a few more times and i cant wait to see as much as possible!
we are going to versailles on sunday so i will update you after that!

Fri. afternoon
Sounds like you are having the time of your life, glad you are enjoying the city and people and doing just a little bit of studying. Still rainy and stormy in K.C. but the sun is finally out this afternoon. They had storms out by Beloit and Manhattan yesterday but far as I know everyone is okay--talked to A. Eleanor this morning. Keep enjoying the city and have a glass of wine for me.. Love ya Grandma D
