Fri. afternoon Sounds like you are having the time of your life, glad you are enjoying the city and people and doing just a little bit of studying. Still rainy and stormy in K.C. but the sun is finally out this afternoon. They had storms out by Beloit and Manhattan yesterday but far as I know everyone is okay--talked to A. Eleanor this morning. Keep enjoying the city and have a glass of wine for me.. Love ya Grandma D
Notre Dame I have a little story about the heads of all the men on the front of Notre Dame heads. I have forgot all the details but our guide told us all the heads were knoked off at some time in history and were just recently found when they were doing some excavatiing some where in Paris. I forgot all details. Find out and let me know. I think the original heads are being housed somewhere else now.
Love You
first day on the streets as a student well - i guess looks can be deceiving - your picture of the dining hall looks magnificent! too bad they decided to cater the american cuisine - you're in France - eat like the french do! i'm so thrilled to hear you have found a market to grocery shop and have bought fabulous baguettes and cheese! sounds oooohhhh so french!
keep blogging - we are really enjoying it! - and as much as i want to see photos of the places you are seeing and photos of your friends - please remember to have someone photograph YOU in the scenery too! i want to see YOU in Paris! - love you bunches - MOM
Missing You but so excited!!!!!!! I felt like your mother, the morning of your flight, I woke up at 5:30 and could not go to sleep! I was so excited for you and of course nervous! But, you made it fine! The luggage story was so funny! I just wished your luggage would have opened and all your Paris clothes and the "maja" Paris shoes would have rolled out! Everyone would have been so jealous! Espceially the coat that is wool! But, hey, you gotta look the part. Okay, now for the photo you have to send me- the view should be of something famous, you sitting down with paint and brush with the paper easel, a Paris hat on, clothes etc. -on the streets of Paris. That is what I want! Bring a "frenchie" home for me well at least some great photos! You know what they say about those French men. No, I did not say you should partake, just observe from a distance! Okay, well maybe not! Sorry Julie! Can't wait to see more! I know your room won't look like that long-I want to see what it looks like in a week, okay, maybe a day. Love ya tay-tay.
