this is our on campus dining hall. the food is terrible its pretty much american food and costs a lot so we probably wont go back too much
Today was suppose to be my first day of painting class, but due to the fact that it hasnt stopped raining since i got here we stayed in a cafe for class! My professor is nice and lives in Brooklyn, this is his first time teaching for ISA in Paris. My friends Jena and Nancy are in class with me and we had a good time. The first place we met for class is St Michel fountain. we showed up early and wandered around through the different surrounding streets and got a free crepe from this sweet old mans shop. We ran into our friend Eric and i was so excited to know someone on the streets that i had to give him the proper french greeting of two kisses on the cheek! we felt so french!
our professor took us over to the park we will be painting at on thursday and i looked up and saw notre dame!! i had no idea we were right across the street from it! it was so beautiful and i couldnt believe i was literally 20 feet away from one of the greatest pieces of architectural history ever. i will hopefully be painting

a view of it on thursday if the weather permits.
while my teacher was demonstrating in the park we watched a group of cops surround these two thugs who had already caught my attention by their yelling and flipping off others in the park! it was awesome. i thought for sure the cops were going to take these guys down and beat them with their clubs (every cop here looks like that british jason actor from crank) but they just yelled at them and ran their information. it was still pretty exciting, plus i already know how to paint so it was ok that i was distracted!
we finally found a reasonably priced supermarket up the street from my dorm and stocked up on baquettes, cheese, and fresh fruit for our breakfast and lunches! its so good 😊
i am so tired! but we are going to the effiel tower tomorrow night! im so excited!!!
au revoir!

Notre Dame
I have a little story about the heads of all the men on the front of Notre Dame heads. I have forgot all the details but our guide told us all the heads were knoked off at some time in history and were just recently found when they were doing some excavatiing some where in Paris. I forgot all details. Find out and let me know. I think the original heads are being housed somewhere else now. Love You

I though we Americans learned about french kissing from those Paris and French men! I can't wait to see you painting and drawing! Put the pen in your mouth, so you really look cool! I miss you and the photos are awesome! Glad you have met some neat friends and you like your teachers! Thought that was funny what your dad said- about standing behind you! HA Well, have some fun with the "REAL FRENCH KISSING"! Love ya mom #2
