01 Another entrance
One of the other entrances to the city. Geo: 59.4389, 24.7545
Today was our free day in Tallinn. First stop for Bridget, Anita and I was the beauty salon. Anita and I had a 30 minute massage and it was great!! Loved it, especially in this cheap country. We then walked into the old town, looked at souvenirs, walked down little lane ways and under arches. Had a long lunch. Then thought we had better do the educational thing- we went to a museum- 'Estonian History Museum'. The building was built 6090 years ago!! We did some browsing of the clothes and shoe stores. Anita and Bridget went back to the hotel, I kept on window shopping and ventured into the new town and found a shopping centre with air conditioning!! Great place when its hot outside and your hotel room doesn't have air conditioning!
Had a shower to cool down before we met to go to dinner. This was the last night of the tour, most of the group go to Russia tomorrow, if I hadn't booked the tour a week before it started I may have had time to get my visa and go with them. There was no way of getting a visa in a day in Tallinn-
02 Walls and towers
Another entrance to the city. Russia next time. For dinner we went to a traditional Estonian Medieval restaurant. I ate an elk fillet and tasted Bridget's bear. The elk was tastier. We had a final group photo and said goodbye to Kosta and Trix who were going back to the hotel. Then headed to Hell Hunt- Tallinn's first pub. Then it was time to say good-bye to the rest of the group and wish them well.
